A WOMAN has suffered a serious leg injury after her car collided with a lorry this morning.

The accident happened on the A7, five miles away from Stow at 7.30am.

A police Scotland spokesperson said: "The incident happened at 7.30am this morning five miles north of Stow.

"It involved a Ford Focus and a lorry.

"The female driver has suffered a serious leg injury and had to be taken to the ERI (Edinburgh Royal Infirmary).

"The road didn't have to be closed as it was still passable, but there were some delays and oil on the surface," he added.

"The road was cleared at 9.30am."
